Insulating your living space: How to calculate costs and find a master

The CAMP Alatoo PF has launched a new online resource that provides information on how and why to insulate houses and indoor areas mainly in rural regions. 

In addition to arguments in support of the insulation and informative facts, the website includes a calculator to estimate  costs required to insulate your home. You can use it to find out the thickness and square footage of the insulation required for your region of residence. 

The calculator will calculate material dimensions for walls, roof, roof, floor and basement. After entering the exact dimensions of the length and width of the house structures, indicating the building material used and the desired insulation thickness, the calculator gives a wide selection of insulation options. Next, you will need data on the type, amount of consumption and costs of fuel or electricity the household uses for heating and cooking.

Filling in all the cells in the calculator will give you several results at once: the suitable insulation, its thickness, square footage and cost based on the region of residence, and, very importantly, the calculation of current emissions, carbon dioxide (CO₂) and the level of emissions after insulation. Finally, the calculator determines the energy savings after insulation.

But that's not all. With the estimate received, the user on the website can contact a master and send a message via WhatsApp. Experienced masters have already insulated several houses in Ak-Talaa and Jety-Oguz districts of Issyk-Kul oblast.
