The ecological festival BIRD FEST 2026 will take place at Lake Issyk-Kul from August 28 to 30. Dedicated to wildlife protection, bird conservation, and the development of eco-tourism, the event will be held on the grounds of the planned "Kushtar" micro-reserve in Yntymak village, Tyup District.
The eco-festival is organized by the PF "CAMP Alatoo" and the local public organization "Birds".
Over the past three years, the festival has established a unique format and built a loyal community of guests who return annually to its main venue in Yntymak village. However, the core identity of BIRD FEST remains its charitable and conservationist foundation. All proceeds from ticket sales will be directed to the local community organization "Birds", whose members voluntarily joined forces to protect the coastal zone of the Tyup Bay and preserve the region's unique ecosystem.
Today, infrastructure for nature enthusiasts is actively developing in the "Kushtar" micro-reserve, featuring an equipped camping area and facilities for birdwatching. According to ornithologists, over 130 bird species inhabit the area across different seasons, making it one of the premier locations for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers.
This year, attendees can look forward to a rich and engaging program suitable for both professional environmentalists and families with children:
