Thermal Insulation Specialists Reviewed Kyrgyzstan’s Market of Energy-Efficient Solutions

Thermal insulation specialists from the Issyk-Kul region became acquainted with modern construction and energy-efficient materials available on the Kyrgyzstan market. In early February, they visited companies and sales centers located in Bishkek. The familiarization tour was organized within the framework of the project “Rural Access to Energy Efficient Technologies in Kyrgyzstan.”

A total of 12 specialists involved in the project took part in the tour, which was held in the format of an excursion combined with seminar elements. The main objectives of the event were to study current materials and solutions for building and premises insulation, enhance practical knowledge on the application of new technologies, and facilitate experience exchange between manufacturers, suppliers, and practicing specialists.

During the tour, participants visited companies supplying façade systems, construction mixes, and thermal insulation materials. The specialists reviewed product ranges and received recommendations on their application, taking into account the region’s climatic conditions. Presentations were also organized for the participants, focusing on ventilation systems, including energy-efficient solutions and ensuring proper air exchange in residential buildings.

The program also included visits to organizations and showrooms showcasing construction materials and elements for exterior finishing and façade protection, as well as solutions using panels for the construction of prefabricated energy-efficient buildings. Together with experts, the specialists discussed installation features of various elements and received consultations on thermal insulation, energy-efficient materials, and engineering solutions available on the Kyrgyzstan market.

Live communication and the opportunity to become directly familiar with current trends in thermal insulation, energy-efficient solutions, and construction and decorative materials were highlighted by participants as key advantages of the tour. The specialists noted that they were able to fill knowledge gaps and gain insights into materials they had not previously encountered in their work, despite having extensive experience in building insulation. They also expressed their gratitude to the project team and to representatives of the companies and sales centers for organizing the excursion-seminar.

“Materials differ in their characteristics, quality, and fields of application. Timely information about these differences allows us to make more informed choices, which will ultimately improve the quality of services provided by specialists,” noted Toktosun Bekboev.

It is expected that the knowledge gained and the professional contacts established will be useful in the specialists’ further work to improve the energy efficiency of buildings in the region and will also serve as a basis for potential cooperation with the companies involved in the familiarization tour.
