Annual report 2021-2023

09 January 2024

On the Threshold of the 20th Anniversary

In 2024, it will be 20 years since the establishment of the CAMP Alatoo Public Foundation. A fully fledged non-governmental organization that grew out of the Central Asian Mountain Cooperation Program, abbreviated from the English to CAMP. The Public Foundation kept its name, but added a new word, “Alatoo”, to symbolise our mountains and our country. Our projects and initiatives consistently prioritize the well-being of people living in challenging mountain environments and ecosystems.

During these 20 years we have developed project activities and introduced innovations, cooperated with national and international partners, created platforms for the exchange of knowledge and experience, and implemented research and analytical work. Having completed this twenty-year cycle and having summarized the results of each passing year, we remain committed to our mission:

CAMP Alatoo Regional PF with its highly motivated team actively promotes improvement of living standards of Central Asian communities through integrated natural resources management by developing, adapting and implementing global and local practices.

As we embark on the next decade, we are setting new goals, objectives, and challenges to create and sustain a sustainable future for communities and resources. This annual report, covering our work from 2021 to 2023, serves as evidence of our capabilities, competencies, and efforts.
