Zhyrgalbek  is exspert with extensive experience in agriculture, forestry, and the rational use of pastures and other land-use types (AFOLU). Since 2012, he has been working at the SAMR Alatoo Public Foundation, implementing initiatives focused on natural resource management and improving the knowledge and capacity of all pasture management stakeholders.

Zhyrgalbek is one of the developers of the automated system “Electronic Pasture Committee” and the mobile application “Pasture Monitoring,” which facilitate resource management. As part of his work, he coordinates projects, conceptualizes and implements initiatives, conducts comprehensive land resource assessments, vegetation analysis, and forest inventories, and develops and adapts methodologies and tools based on international experience.

Actively engaged in scientific research and analytical tasks, such as preparing policy briefs and gap analyses, Zhyrgalbek also collects data at both field and national levels, collaborating with local and state authorities. Additionally, he has experience in conducting reviews and research on nature-based solutions. His professional strengths include critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Protection from KGUSTA and has completed additional training in the Land Restoration Program at the International Centre for Sustainable Land Management under the Agricultural University of Iceland.
