Public Foundation "CAMP Alatoo" regularly organizes educational visits for representatives from Central Asia and the CIS countries.
In October 2013 a training for facilitators was conducted for the team of the project "Sustainable Pasture Management with local Communities" implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) of Uzbekistan on the topic "Managing conflicts over natural resources". Specialists of "CAMP Alatoo" PF were the key speakers and noted that the training raised great interest among the participants. It was the beginning of the process of adaptation to the module in Uzbekistan. There was a beneficial exchange of both professional and cultural experiences between the Kyrgyz and Uzbek teams.
In June 2013, trainers from PF "CAMP Alatoo" instructed representatives of Kazakh organizations working in the field of agriculture. The workshops were held in Almaty with the support of UNDP Kazakhstan.
In October 2017, a study tour to Bishkek was organized for land use specialists from Turkmenistan to study the experience in Kyrgyzstan in the field of pasture management. During the visit, the guests met with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Association "Kyrgyz Jaiyty" and visited also the ayil aimak Nurmanbet of Issyk-Ata district. In this region, one of the projects of PF "CAMP Alatoo" successfully established the local pasture committee for planning and management of financial resources and regulation of relations between the users of lands. The experts also learned about the project activities of PF "CAMP Alatoo" in the field of pasture management.
The guests were interested in the practical application of pasture legislation and its results. This is due to the fact that in Turkmenistan the law on pastures was adopted several years ago, but is still not enforced due to the lack of a mechanism for its implementation. At the end of the tour, members of the Turkmen delegation noted that they received comprehensive information about the process of pasture resources management at the level of legislation and its benefits for local communities. In their opinion, the experience of Kyrgyzstan can be adapted to Turkmenistan due to the similarity of natural, geographic and social conditions. The guests also emphasized the contribution of PF "CAMP Alatoo" in the implementation of the law "On Pastures". PF "CAMP Alatoo" has experience in cooperation with local communities and Dykhan farms (former collective farms) in Turkmenistan. Educational modules on mountain and desert pasture management were developed at the request of international ones, and its own innovative method of training on adaptation to climate change was applied.
In October 2019, a delegation from Armenia visited Kyrgyzstan as part of an educational tour. 11 representatives of the National Assembly (Parliament), three ministries - economy, environment, territorial administration and infrastructure, National Agrarian University, regional administrations, the Secretariat of Pasture Reform, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) of Armenia and non-governmental organizations - studied the Kyrgyz experience in implementing pasture reform and cooperation with state bodies at the level of Coordination and Advisory Councils.
