During this period, 6 bridges were built and 4 repaired in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
New bridges were constructed in Ak-Talin district of Naryn oblast and Khorog (GBAO, Tajikistan). Overhaul of the structures was carried out in Aksyy district of Jalalabad oblast, Talas and Bakai-Ata districts of Talas oblast. The bridges enabled local shepherds to ferry their animals to remote pastures, to which it took several days to get bypassed.
In Ak-Talinsk rayon, a 27-metre bridge across the Ala river, the longest bridge built during the "Construction and rehabilitation of bridges in mountain regions of Kyrgyzstan" project, was built with the support of the CAMP Alatoo PF and the Swiss association Pamir's bridges.
