CAMP Kuhiston is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation founded in 2006 that promotes sustainable development in the mountain regions of Tajikistan.
CAMP Kuhiston is a successor organisation of the Central Asian Mountain Partnership (CAMP), a programme funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Jointly with its partner organisations in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, CAMP Kuhiston forms the CAMP Network.
CAMP Kuhiston supports the sustainable and multifunctional use of natural and human resources by implementing various projects. These projects are finely tuned to the changing socio-economic and ecological environment of Tajikistan’s mountain regions.
CAMP Kuhiston assists in the development of mountain communities by supporting sustainable and multifunctional use of energy, soil and water resources, and by promoting rural development.
The organisation implements its activities in three areas:
- Integrated Disaster Risk Management
- Conflict Management Over Natural Resources
- Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency
